Born in March of 1972, I enjoyed a fun and memorable childhood in Saginaw, Michigan. I would draw on anything. In school my "notes" usually consisted more of involved doodles than anything pertaining to the discussion. In college I was able to find my outlet with a few dreaded studio art classes. There I found ultimate freedom and never looked back. I had something that was mine.
Since then, my paintings have been exhibited in galleries, cultural centers, and universities throughout the United States. These solo and group shows include Summerworks and Winterworks in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the All Area Arts Exhibit in Saginaw Michigan, the featured artist at the Steamboat Mountain Film Festival in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. My work has been represented at TEI Modern
Contemporary Gallery ,Studio Gallery 27 and Schiesser Gallery in Steamboat Springs and most recently featured on RSN channel 18 in Steamboat Springs. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
My work is a reflection of an ongoing quest for harmony and self-discovery. When I create a painting, I enter my own world of visual language, transforming simple visions into rhythmic constructions of line, shape, form and space. Similar to nature, my compostions rely on all elements working together.
I reside in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where I live with my wife Sonya, son Miles and dog Otis.
